Due to unprecedented demand for repeat prescriptions please allow 5 working days for them to be processed. This is a temporary measure to meet demand and normal service will resume as soon as possible.  Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Dispensing & Repeat Prescriptions

Trained and qualified staff deliver all services in line with current legislation and guidance from the General Pharmaceutical Council UK. Some of the clinical services which run in close collaboration with the medical practice can only be offered to patients who are registered at Framfield House Surgery.

Many of the services we offer are provided on the NHS - these are indicated by the NHS name.

Facilities are available for disabled customers, including: toilets, lift and lower counters.

Prescription Dispensing

We dispense NHS prescriptions and you can talk in confidence to our pharmacist on how best to take your medicines. Anybody can have their medication dispensed by us - you don't have to be registered at the medical practice. We can fill the popular "dosett" box systems, and other systems to help make it clear to patients when medicines should be taken, and clear to carers whether they have been taken. These are known as Monitored Dosage Systems, and can either be re-usable boxes (such as the dosett system), or disposable packs where blisters are opened for each medicine.

Patients of any GP practice can obtain their repeat prescriptions from us. Drop off the green slip having ticked the boxes for the medicines you require, and give us 48 hours to get them ready for you. Patients registered at Framfield House Surgery can use the online request facility located here. You need a password to operate the system, and your own confidential password can be obtained from the Pharmacy.

In the past you may have been used to asking the GP practice to prepare the paper prescription, taking some 48 hours, and then taking it to a different pharmacy, again having to allow up to a further 48 hours before collection. By using the on-line service, you only need to wait 48 hours until you can collect your medicines directly from us.

If you are housebound, or have difficulty getting out, why not ask our staff about our free home delivery service?
